April is such a lovely month, winter feels very much behind us and there’s the feeling summer is just around the corner.  With lockdown restrictions easing, we love welcoming back customers who have finally been able to open their doors for the first time in a while.

Young heifers and dry cows are out at pasture from spring to autumn.  Its great to see them outside and turn out day is always good fun!  The milkers will be following on next month if the weather remains good. Keep an eye on our social media for updates.

Nobby the Palm Sunday Donkey

Followers from Cleobury Mortimer will know every Palm Sunday we have the honour of stabling Nobby the Donkey overnight in readiness for his parade around the town for St Mary’s church service.  With Covid restrictions things have had to be a little different this year.   For those who have missed seeing Nobby, here is a picture of him tending to the grass at the Church in 2019.

Easter Eggs - how do you do it?

Does anyone remember the Cadbury’s advert of stop-motion characters based on signs of the zodiac, who asked ‘How do you do it’? referring to the different ways to eat a cream egg? I am shocked to see the advert is dated 1991!  Showing my age…  I must confess my technique is to bite off the top, scoop out the insides with my finger, and eat the chocolate last 😀 So, how do you do it?

Easter egg fact – decorating eggs is not a new thing… engraved ostrich eggs were found in Africa, believed to be 60,000 years old!

If you celebrate, Happy Easter!
See you all next week, when I will delve into Red Tractor Farm Assurance. Have a great week! Rachel #TeamMawley
